Many people consider flooring to be a new term. But, the fact of the matter is that flooring is as old as civilisation itself. Flooring is of many types such as water proof laminate flooring, vinyl flooring, tiling, carpet, etc. We describe each one of them as follows:-

1. Waterproof laminate flooring is also known as plywood flooring. Underneath it, the floor is made of wood. The waterproof flooring as the name suggests is a form of flooring which is water resistant, with a laminate layer on top and wooden bottom, the water can’t penetrate the top layer making it easier to mop up.

2. Vinyl flooring is also known as resilient flooring. It is a type of flooring, under which the floor is quite flexible and doesn’t get easily damaged in any way. Vinyl flooring has a high resilience to abrasion and impact damage. When fitted properly they can easily be replaced when damaged at low cost.

3. Tiling is a type of flooring in which as the name suggests tiles are used. Made from materials like clay, stone and ceramics they are strong and durable. They often come a wide range of colours and designs making each floor unique.

4. Carpet flooring as the name suggest is a type of flooring in which carpet is used to accessorize the surface of the floor. Much like tiles carpets come in a wide range of colours and patterns making your design almost limitless. However, unlike tiles, carpets are usually soft and warm perfect for winters.

So, there’s a variety of flooring styles to choose from and it all depends on your own personal style and the room for which they are going to be used in. For example, tiles would be used in kitchens whereas carpets are more suited for living rooms and bedrooms. Although, waterproof laminate flooring is perfect for all rooms.
