After this another layer of sand was put on it. One had to walk on it in order to compress it and like this a layer of floor was created.

2. In the early Native Americans, floor was created by first clearing the ground and a layer of waste was put on it. The waste could be general rubbish or even hay. Then one had to walk on it in order to compress it. Finally this was cleared, and a fresh layer of waste was put. This created a flooring surface and finally herbs were put on it in order to remove the bad smell. This helped in creating a floor.

3. In some countries like India, floors were created by putting colours on the floor and decorating it with flowers. This was known as rangoli. This made the houses look beautiful. This helped in creating a level of flooring.
